Moving On Up programme - feedback survey

NNWN has been running the Moving On Up programme for the last 18 months,  encouraging women who are facng change or other challenges to set some goals for themselves and take steps towards achieving them. The programme has offered mentoring, support and learning opportunities to over 100 women. As the programme draws to an end, we are evaluating Moving On Up to help NNWN to review how best to continue the mentoring and befriending work and to continue to offer opportunities to learn and progress.

If you have been involved in the programme, either as a participant or a partner, trainer, referral organisation or funder, we would like to hear from you! Please follow this link to our brief online survey which should take no more than five minutes to complete.

Then on  27th and 28th October the women from Derbyshire came up to help with the Women's Workshop - find out more by following this link.
On 16th November we were invited to Co Wicklow, Ireland by the local Leader+ scheme to a seminar for women's groups and networks on how we can use networking to help develop our projects and keep women's issues high on the rural agenda. To read about the seminar follow this link

Confidence Building and Personal Development - Short Course Opportunities

NNWN is very interested in supporting the many women who have asked for help to build up their confidence in a range of situations. We are also aware that there are many different kinds of confidence-building training available, and sometimes it's difficult to know what is going to meet our needs or suit us best. As a result we have decided to invite a range of trainers to run taster sessions and short courses over the next few months, and to ask everyone who takes part to give us feedback on the experience, so that we can improve the quality of our training programme. The sessions will all be safe, fun and easy to take part in. It's OK to take part in just one or two sessions or the whole series. The programme includes:
Speaking and listening skills
Improving assertiveness and decision making
Understanding our response to our body image
Understanding stress and stress management techniques
Making choices in pursuit of personal goals
Developing interpersonal skills
These short courses are part of the 'Moving On Up' accredited learning programme run by the North NorthumberlandWomen's Network, where you can get your skills recognised and have fun and support on the way. More info at the sessions.... The courses are free and child, transport and other care costs can be met. Please let us know if you would like to attend and if you need transport ring 01665 589429.
